Naturopathy in the Wild West

There are more than 100 licensable NDs practicing across Colorado. Many of these doctors are members of the Colorado Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CoAND) and maintain an active license in one or more licensed states.

Currently, Colorado is not one of the fifteen states which license naturopathic doctors. CoAND is working toward regulation of the profession for several reasons. Licensure would ensure that every Coloradan has the right to choose a naturopathic doctor as their health care provider. It would also provide a standard of education and training. Most importantly, it would protect the public from poorly-trained or unethical practitioners calling themselves naturopathic doctors without appropriate training.
